  My Way es una hermosa canción que encajaba con la imagen de vividor de Frank Sinatra, el cual la dió a conocer en 1968.

PAUL ANKA

Esta extraordinaria y pegadiza canción, fue un arreglo musical y de letra realizado por Paul Anka, el cual se la oyó cantar a Claude François durante unas vacaciones que el famoso cantante y compositor canadiense autor de "Diana" , "Tu cabeza en mi hombro", "Tu eres mi destino", "Adan y Eva" ....y un larguísimo etc., disfrutaba en Francia. Le gustó tanto su melodía que le compró los derechos de autor.

CLAUDE FRANÇOIS

La canción, original se llamaba "For me"y su autor, Jacques Revaux. Se la ofreció a Claude François y este le cambió el nombre y la llamó "Comme d'habitude". Llegó a ser bastante conocida en Francia y David Bowie hizo una versión en inglés de esta canción ("Even a fool learns to love").

Cuando Paul Anka le ofreció a Sinatra "May Way", este quedó asombrado de ver como encajaba

con su vida tan agitada y repleta de vivencias e inmediatamente se pusieron de acuerdo. Don Costa le hizo los arreglos adecuados a la voz de Frank.




A partir de ese momento, Sinatra la cantó siempre en sus conciertos dándole un trato de preferencia. Nadie como Sinatra fue capaz de interpretarla con tanto sentimiento. Era capaz de emocionar a las personas de todas las edades con su voz de barítono, que sobresalía muy por encima de la orquesta.
Era un maestro en el saber controlar la respiración cantando. Cantaba My Way cuando tenía 80 años, con la misma fuerza que cuando tenía treinta años menos. (1915-1998)
Un maestro de la canción. Mi pequeño homenaje a "La Voz".

Aquí os dejo la letra y los acordes para guitarra. Yo la toco con cierta frecuencia e intento cantarla acompañándome de estos acordes que por lo menos a mí, me suenan bastante bien. Están para mi tono de voz. Para cualquiera que tenga nociones básicas de música le será fácil cambiar el tono y encontrar los acordes.
